The Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger metal detector is at once a sophisticated and sensitive piece of machinery as well as a rugged and lightweight tool. While detection depths vary with conditions, this detector generally finds metal objects at depths of 2 to 6 feet. The metal detector includes a padded collar that cups your upper arm and steadies the search coils at the bottom of the device. The control panel, located conveniently above the cushioned handgrip, includes knobs for tuning the device's discrimination, depth, ground balance, and audio volume settings, plus a headphone jack and a retune button.
